Description
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Product Officer (CPO) is responsible for developing and leading the product strategy and driving execution, implementation, and innovation across our product portfolio. As a member of the Verily Leadership Team, you will be critical to shaping Verily’s product vision, roadmap, and organizational direction. This leadership role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of end-to-end product management in health tech.
A hybrid role with three days per week in-office, possible locations of the role are San Francisco, Boston, or Dallas.
Responsibilities
- Lead Verily’s Product organization, including product management and implementation from ideation through end-of-life.
- Responsible for defining and building best-in-class Research and Care products across clinical research, care delivery, biomedical data platforms, medical devices, and leading AI and data science solutions.
- Drive major product roadmap decisions in collaboration with the broader product development organization; includes responsibility for establishing business models and metrics for successful products.
- Build and lead a high-performing Product org, recruiting top talent with diverse technical and healthcare experience, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional growth opportunities for team members.
- Drive strong collaboration with Engineering, User Experience, Science, Research, Clinical, Commercial, Marketing, and all other cross-functional teams in service of the goal of building innovative, marketing leading, impactful products.
- Champion an Agile based Product org, fostering a culture of iteration, customer delivery, experimentation, in collaboration with Engineering and User Experience.
- Ensure products meet regulatory, compliance, security, privacy, and global requirements as appropriate.
- Establish strong executive relationships and be a leader at Verily and representing Verily in the healthcare industry.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 12+ years leading a large-scale Product organization, delivering software and platform products with a multi-product portfolio in a highly-regulated industry.
- 7+ years of experience developing products in healthcare / health tech space, including experience across clinical research and/or care delivery.
- Track record developing and launching successful products with growing market share and well-understood business models for scaling.
- Experience working closely with commercial teams, sales, product marketing, and go-to-market understanding for segments in healthcare.
- Experience working with large-scale software teams in an Agile environment.
- Execution mindset - must be an operator with a demonstrated ability to work with urgency and focus in a high-energy strong team environment.
- Excellent cross-functional skills; familiar with working in a functional org.
- Extensive leadership and management skills. Personable with solid team skills and works well in a highly innovative and collaborative environment.
- Adept at integrating strategic level vision with execution and translating at multiple levels for teams and customers
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working closely with data science and AI/ML teams for product innovation.
- Familiarity with regulated software and medical products.
- Experience delivering medical device products or regulated research products.
- Experienced public speaker - comfortable presenting on company vision and product strategy as appropriate.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $288,000- $432,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by
