Job Description

This position is contingent on contract award.

International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Assistant Manager to help oversee the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to patients while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes managing daily operations, addressing clinical issues, and fostering a collaborative environment to promote optimal patient care and staff development.

  • Leads and organizes delivery of care to ensure continuity of care and peer accountability for practice in alignment with the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice. 
  • Applies advanced clinical knowledge/judgement to lead staff involvement in planning, decision-making, and evaluating outcomes. 
  • Applies nursing expertise to lead improvement, with demonstrated outcomes. 
  • Steps into direct patient care and deliver bedside care and support as needed. 
  • Provides float RN coverage as needed

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.   
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS). 
  • Employees shall have at least one year of general experience that demonstrates the following: 
    • The ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public.  
    • Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations. All personnel shall be literate and be able to interpret printed rules and regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and materials, and must be able to compose reports.  
    • Good judgment, courage, alertness, an even temperament, and render satisfactory performance through knowledge
