Job Description

As a Regional People Services Manager in the HR function, you play a pivotal role in integrating various HR teams into a cohesive unit focused on enhancing the colleague experience in the Americas Region. This leadership role will also lay the foundation for future People Services operations. You will first focus on fostering strong relationships with the Global Teams, driving digitalization of HR processes, and transforming travel policies and procedures to provide an excellent, intuitive travel experience with minimal paper-based processes. 

 

This hybrid role reports into our Regional Head of HR and is based out of the New York City Support Office. 

 

A Day in the Life  

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*  

 

  • Integration of Teams:  

  • Lead the integration of Travel, People Insights, HR Technology, and Payroll functions into a harmonious unit 

  • Collaborate with leaders to align strategies and unlock the potential of our HR ecosystem 

  • HR Technology:  

  • Enhance and maintain our foundational HR technology systems, ensuring colleagues enjoy a seamless HR experience 

  • Work towards exceptional colleague experiences from their first interaction to their farewell 

  • Partner with the HR Technology Manager to create a technology-driven HR landscape 

  • People Insights: 

  • Utilize data and insights to craft and evolve our people strategy 

  • Improve HR's storytelling capability with impactful insights 

  • Cultivate a data-driven culture within HR 

  • Travel Management: 

  • Redefine travel policies and practices alongside the Regional Travel Manager 

  • Champion an intuitive, self-service travel management program 

  • Ensure colleagues have efficient and cost-effective travel experiences 

  • Payroll: 

  • Drive best practices for the department in partnership with the Payroll Managers  

  • Champion the implementation of a seamless Payroll tech solution 

  • Ensure colleagues have a world-class service experience 

  • Vendor Management: 

  • Apply best practices in establishing and maintaining vendor relationships. 

  • Ensure vendors are strategically and holistically managed to maximize value for the organization 

  • Collaborate with vendors to align their services with our business needs and objectives 

  • Global Team Collaboration: 

  • Foster collaboration with our Global Team in Stockholm, ensuring alignment on global initiatives 

  • Take regional ownership to implement these initiatives 

  • Leadership and Strategy: 

  • Establish service level agreements and issue resolution benchmarks 

  • Define, monitor, and ensure the delivery of performance metrics that elevate HR operations 

Qualifications

Who You Are:   

  • An academic degree in Business, Human Resources, or a relevant field 

  • Over 5 years of HR Operations/Shared Services leadership experience 

  • Over 3 years of project management experience, including the use of formal project management methodologies 

  • Proficiency in HR systems and technology, with a preference for expertise in ServiceNow and SAP SuccessFactors 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple complex & confidential tasks 

  • Occasionally, travel may be required, both domestically and internationally, to collaborate with teams and stakeholders across the region
