About the role

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Role Summary

The Rail Yard Lead is responsible for all line up meter readings, collecting all car numbers to be unloaded and placing seals on cars when empty. In addition, daily reporting is required for all stakeholders.   

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Build work packages and assist with scheduling of work according to DKL Work Management process and procedures.
  • Lead, facilitate, and coordinate risk based strategic and tactical work selection and planning meetings, interfacing with stakeholders according to DKL Work Management process and procedures.
  • Owner of the Long-range Planning process for maintenance work.  Provides support to the Integrated Long range Planning process.
  • Identifies potential constraints/deficiencies that could impact the schedule and recommend corrective actions.
  • Works in close coordination and consultation with stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Project, SCM, etc.) while developing work packages.
  • Works in close coordination with Operations to identify and plan required Pre and Post maintenance repair work to support facility inventory and startup.
  • Schedule all work orders with the assistance of stakeholders to achieve time compression and resource leveling analysis.
  • Initiated procurement of planned parts and materials required for maintenance work.  Tracks procurement status, flags areas of concern.
  • Participates and/or leads Ready for Operations (RFO) Maintenance projects to develop required planning maintenance systems, process, and procedures before commercial operations.
  • Assists with the pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and initial operation of the Facility.  This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning/startup team(s) with the contractor.
  • Manage personal timecard according to DKL Policies and Procedures (Vacations, time-off, sick leave, training, “On-Call” etc.)
  • Holds personal accountability for own performance and behavior.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to peers and counterparts.
  • Aids in development of Department KPI’s, equipment reliability tracking, project planning and the tracking of progress to completion.
  • Comply with all regulatory and company training requirements.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Compliance of all monthly reports.
  • Follow all policies and procedures accordingly. 

 

Required Characteristics

  • Minimum high school diploma of GED.

 

Desired Characteristics/Skills

  • Technical degree and/or nationally recognized standard (NCCER) is desired.
  • PMP Certification or similar is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, able to manage multiple activities with a high degree of accuracy and meet work deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, industry, and governmental agencies. 
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest levels of customer services, confidentiality, and ethical behavior.
  • Possess the personality and ability to relate and establish a mutually respectful relationship with management, peers, and various facility level workers that ensure good operations.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
