Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for an Operations Excellence – Project Manager II to work at our Ave Maria, FL. Location. The Operations Excellence Project Manager is responsible for teaching, implementing, and assisting management in the application of LEAN methodology to shop-floor, business, and new product introduction processes. This is a First shift, (8:00am-5:00pm), (Monday- Friday)

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates Kaizen for shopfloor, business and new product introduction processes utilizing LEAN methodology for systemic and tactical problem solving and rapid improvement.
  • Applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in the implementation of process excellence and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Drives the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices.
  • Understands and actively engages management to ensure the right balance of business and personnel needs are addressed. 
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization as appropriate to gain and maintain support for initiatives.

 

Knowledge:

  • Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. 
  • General application of concepts and principles.

 

Reasoning Ability:

  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. 
  • Refers to policies and practices for guidance.

 

Discretion/ Latitude:

  • Works under very general supervision.  Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledgeable of FDA and ISO guidelines for the development of medical devices preferred.
  • Manufacturing process knowledge required.
  • Project management and communication skills training required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process change efforts.
  • Supply Chain process knowledge preferred.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Time management – Manage one’s own time and the time of others.
  • Leadership – Requires a willingness to lead, take charge, and provide direction.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
