SUMMARY
Leads and coordinates activities of department workers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all employees in work area are working safely within the department and wearing proper PPE
- Ensure area employees are following company quality policy
- Maintain production schedules by coordinating workflow, preparing tooling/fixtures, and helping in the setup of machines
- Verify work order operations are being completed and sign off on jobs as required by company policies
- Maintain outgoing quality and scrap rates within the department
- Coach/Train employees on proper techniques and machine operation
- Mentor new employees in the department to safely and properly run equipment and produce product within company standards
- Trouble shoot problem jobs and work with support groups to develop solutions
- Ensure tooling and equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
- Maintain area cleanliness and organization
- Run production as required to maintain production schedules and overall area productivity standards

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
