General Description of the Role

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Project Manager to lead the execution of a flagship distillery and dry house expansion initiative. This project integrates sustainable distillation practices, immersive visitor experiences, and advanced process automation.

 

Mission/Objectives

 

Lead the successful execution of the distillery and dry house expansion projects, ensuring the delivery of a world-class distillery that meets operational, safety, sustainability, and visitor experience goals. The TPM will serve as the central coordinator across engineering, operations, finance, and external partners, ensuring that all project phases — from construction through commissioning — are executed with precision, transparency, and accountability.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Oversee all phases of the expansion projects, including construction, commissioning, and operational readiness, ensuring adherence to financial and timeline budgets
  • Ensure all systems and processes are validated for safe and legal operation prior to handover.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (PMO, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, QRD) and external partners (e.g., Design Builder) to align project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Escalate critical decisions through defined governance paths and ensure alignment across global and local stakeholders.
  • Manage the structured change order process, including the utilization of contingency funds and documentation of scope-altering changes.
  • Manage change orders and contingency planning to avoid cost overruns and schedule delay.
  • Manage daily activities/resources to ensure maximized efficiency during the commissioning process.
  • Maintain and organize over technical submittals, including engineering drawings, specifications, equipment data sheets, and validation records.
  • Facilitate and document meeting minutes for core project team meetings, including follow-up communications.
  • Ensure communication with relevant internal stakeholders on activities impacting daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.
