Public Safety Officer - PRN (67786)

The security officer is responsible for patrolling all medical center properties to prevent fire, theft, illegal entry, crimes against persons, patient elopement, intoxicated persons, disputes, and other possible hostile situations.  He/she must take the initiative to restore order, make initial investigations, and complete a written report of the incident.  Must be able to detect violations of established guidelines and procedures, and elicit cooperation of others to correct the same.  Record all rounds and requests on a daily log.  Respond to all emergency calls such as fire, bomb threats, combative situations, etc.

Education:  High school graduate or GED preferred. 

Experience:  Prior security-related experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:  Valid Driver’s License.  Must be able to qualify for TN Protective Service License.   SAMA certification and Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
