The Senior Procurement Analyst role for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for tactical procurement, inventory control, and supplier management for reagent manufacturing. This includes identifying and maintaining appropriate inventory parameters in ERP systems to optimize inventory and raw material supply plans. Purchases raw materials, in coordination with manufacturing activities, to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

This position is part of the East Region Supply Chain Team located in Florence and Hebron, KY and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the KRM (Kentucky Reagent Manufacturing) Procurement Team and report to the Manager Materials & Planning responsible for production planning, tactical procurement, shipping & receiving, along with overall material flow of the site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Take ownership and uphold all corporate and site/department-specific physical and financial inventory targets while ensuring the material availability in support of site production goals.  Maintain conformance to all Beckman Coulter policies and practices in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Drive the analysis and review of demand data to support purchasing and planning decisions both short- and long-term to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Identify potential savings opportunities and lead cross-functional initiatives to achieve Purchase Price Variance (PPV) financial goals.
  • Improve inventory performance and drive positive cash flow by utilizing our Kanban and Inventory Management at Gemba (IMAG) programs, adjusting safety stock levels, and improving lead times.
  • Manage vendor relationships to develop and champion characteristics of preferred suppliers.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years of experience, Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Self-driven, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and able to effectively manage difficult and/or ambiguous situations.
  • Team player with excellent customer orientation and ability to work in multinational and multicultural environments.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience applying lean principles in a variety of situations in functions/areas supporting PPV, Material Usage Variance (MUV), and inventory targets.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – 5% travel, overnight, within U.S.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prior experience working in an FDA/ISO regulated environment preferred
  • Vendor consignment programs
  • Supporting the establishment of or have working familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives and Kanban systems

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
