The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, Implement, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using multiple database sources

• Gather and analyze business requirements from various stakeholders to design effective solutions

• Document processes, technical designs, and report configurations

Required Qualifications

• Experience in business intelligence, data analysis or related field

• Experience in Power BI development, maintaining data visualization, reporting, and dashboards

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to perform advanced formulas, pivots, charts, and graphs

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Teams, Access and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide solutions for operational metrics or data issues

• Strong verbal and written communication 

• Self-starter that can work independently with minimal direction and takes ownership and anticipates future consequences and trends accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a health insurance, managed care or healthcare industry related organization

• Experience working with Medicare Claims data

• Technical experience working with Azure systems and virtual desktop environment

• Proficient in Power Apps and Power Automate regarding workflows and process automation

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or related field

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$65,000 - $89,500 per year

 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
