About the role

Help fix customer-centricity at scale

Every company wants to become more customer-centric. At TheyDo, we make that ambition real. Our AI-powered journey management platform helps the world’s largest enterprises align around what matters most: their customers. By bringing scattered data and teams together, we empower smarter decisions and better experiences. Since 2019, global leaders across industries — including Ford, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, Siemens, Home Depot, and Lufthansa — have trusted us to scale journey management and deliver measurable impact.

Backed by $50M from top-tier investors, including Blossom and 20VC, we are building a category-defining company. Our fully remote team represents 30+ nationalities across 27 countries, united by a customer-led, people-first culture.

Our mission is clear: Make journey management the most powerful business tool in the world.

If you’re looking for a place where your work shapes the future of how companies operate, join us. Let’s build it together.

What you'll do:

Your top priority is ensuring our engineers can deploy with confidence. You will take the lead in setting up our automated test suites, leveraging AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality standards. You're a pragmatic perfectionist who defines our bar for quality but knows how to deliver at speed, using AI as a force multiplier rather than a replacement for engineering judgment. You will continuously shape and improve the QA processes and culture at TheyDo to prepare it for scale

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining our test automation codebases using AI-powered tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms to accelerate development while ensuring code quality through strong engineering fundamentals

  • Supporting engineers across teams with their testing needs, coaching them on testing best practices, AI-assisted test development, and quality standards

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive testing strategy for all of our products; managing implementation and usage of tooling, determining how we setup acceptance criteria, and enabling teams to write effective tests

  • Owning our CI/CD quality gates in GitHub Actions - ensuring automated tests run reliably in our pipeline and continuously improving test execution speed and stability

  • Constantly monitoring quality, helping engineers investigate and prevent issues. Creating and executing test plans, test cases, and automated tests to ensure product quality

What we're looking for

  • An ambitious QA engineer with abundant hands-on experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright. You must be a strong automation engineer first - capable of understanding, evaluating, and refining AI-generated code

  • Proficiency in AI-assisted development and prompt engineering - you know how to effectively use AI coding tools to accelerate your work while applying critical judgment to validate outputs

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions, including how to configure, optimize, and troubleshoot automated test execution

  • An asynchronous worker who organizes and documents their work clearly

  • A clean coder who writes well-structured and maintainable code
