LPN - Timberlyne Family Medicine
**$10,000 Commitment Bonus for Eligible Candidates**
The Licensed Practical Nurse will play a key role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, ensuring exceptional service and patient satisfaction. The Licensed Practical Nurse will administer medications, perform special nursing techniques, and deliver nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of practice defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Location: 77 Vilcom Center Drive Suite 200, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday - Friday
What you will do:
- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed by the doctor and maintain records.
- Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a nurse or doctor.
- Follow the doctor's orders and nursing care plan for patient care.
- Report patient responses to care to a nurse for evaluation and adjustments to the care plan.
- Assist other healthcare staff in delivering patient care.
- Help doctors and nurses with diagnostic procedures.
- Assess nursing care, patient responses, and prioritize nursing tasks.
- Help develop and implement policies to ensure patient comfort and safety and participate in creating new policies.
- Contribute to maintaining the care environment, including equipment and supplies.
- Identify and assist in improving clinical and operational performance.
- Assist in managing supplies and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the charge nurse.
- Participate in training programs and help train new staff.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
What you will need:
Education
- Work requires graduation from an approved or accredited Practical Nurse program.
Experience
- No experience required.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
- Current State of North Carolina LPN licensure is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
- Ability to find resources independently and work well with others
- Clear communication with patients, families, visitors, healthcare team, and leadership; able to teach patients and families based on the care plan
- Ability to process and prioritize information, treatment, and follow-up using sensory and cognitive functions
- Competent in BLS and other required life support certifications
- Proficient in fine motor skills
- Accurately record activities and document interventions
- Ability to use computers and learn new software
- Navigate the healthcare system to provide patient care
- Able to stand and walk for long periods
- Stay focused and organized
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures relevant to the role
- Familiarity with administering routine and special treatments to patients
