Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do:

We are searching for a video producer, shooter, and editor, as well as a creative problem-solver with experience in all phases of video production and post-production through concept, edit, and delivery. This role will collaborate heavily with our Experience Design team to create, edit, and produce video and other media deliverables under the direction of the Director, Experience Design. In this role, you will be crucial in executing our video strategy, storyboarding/scripting, producing and editing engaging videos on your own, as well as managing enterprise-level video projects with external agencies, optimizing videos for different channels, and maintaining our video library.

The Video Producer, Shooter/Editor will work closely with internal business partners to develop high-quality videos that attract and retain financial advisors and showcase our products, services, and corporate culture. This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality videos and podcasts in the field and in-studio, including interviews, scripted content, b-roll, event recap videos, etc.
  • Executing creative concepts, collaborating on visual direction and execution, and seeing video projects through from concept to completion
  • Play a crucial role in creating visually stunning content that engages and resonates with our audiences
  • Possess a clear understanding of how viewers consume content for different channels and can develop narratives focused on delivering the brand story across various channels
  • Conceptualize and develop creative ideas for video, podcasts, and other media that align with the firm’s brand identity and objectives
  • Collaborate with the Experience Design team and other stakeholders to storyboard, script, and plan video projects from conception to completion
  • Edit raw video footage into polished and compelling final products that meet project specifications and deadlines
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video production, motion graphics, and visual effects, and incorporate innovative techniques into your work
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide creative input, and ensure that visual content meets expectations
  • Maintain organized files and assets, and adhere to established workflows and processes to streamline production efficiency
  • Collaborate with other team members, including designers, animators, and marketers, to ensure cohesive storytelling across various platforms and channels
  • Learn the key deliverables of AssetMark as a firm and what is important to our clients

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong video shooting and editing skills
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling principles and design fundamentals
  • Must be a team player with the flexibility to act as a Director of Photography at times, while acting as a Key Grip, Gaffer, or Audio Engineer at other times
  • Must have color correction and sound design capabilities
  • Excellent creative and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling content
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, composition, and typography
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities are essential for collaborative projects and stakeholder interactions
  • Competence in managing strict deadlines and multitasking in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills, allowing you to manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively
  • Self-starter with a passion for learning new skills, having an ownership mindset, and taking the initiative
  • Highly flexible and able to adapt quickly to change
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal stakeholders and develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • This role will work closely with multiple departments and production teams throughout AssetMark to schedule and meet in-house project milestones
  • This role must utilize and maintain a pipeline that can support immediate and future needs
