What You Will Do:
The Machining Operations Supervisor will work to meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Environmental Health and Safety, ACE/CORE, Employee Fulfillment) and ensure all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards. The Machining Operations Supervisor will mange, coach and develop all aspects of assigned hourly workforce.
Implement root cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained Implement ACE/CORE and Lean Strategies to improve Quality, reduce process time and reduce operational costs Ensure that all employees adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
Guides cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness; supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations
Manages cell performance and productivity for multiple cells or a complex cell to maximize productivity; guides production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities
Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service
Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities; administers policies and procedures to ensure compliance and equitable treatment for all employees Ensure all assigned personnel adhere to all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment
In absence of a degree, 6 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
One year of leadership experience
Three or more years’ experience in operations
