What You Will Do:

The Machining Operations Supervisor will work to meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Environmental Health and Safety, ACE/CORE, Employee Fulfillment) and ensure all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards. The Machining Operations Supervisor will mange, coach and develop all aspects of assigned hourly workforce.

• Implement root cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained Implement ACE/CORE and Lean Strategies to improve Quality, reduce process time and reduce operational costs Ensure that all employees adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures

• Guides cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness; supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations

• Manages cell performance and productivity for multiple cells or a complex cell to maximize productivity; guides production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities

• Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service

• Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities; administers policies and procedures to ensure compliance and equitable treatment for all employees Ensure all assigned personnel adhere to all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety procedures

Qualifications You Must Have: 

• Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment

• In absence of a degree, 6 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• One year of leadership experience

• Three or more years’ experience in operations
