Responsibilities

Ready to make an impact and be a part of our Nation’s defense? We are seeking a Program Lead to support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), CA.  The MDA Program Lead will work with the on-site team to ensure maintenance and sustainment activities associated with MDA Systems are met.  In this role you will support the Eastern/Western Range Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) Contract. The successful candidate will understand current MDA needs and work with USG to develop future systems.  The MDA Program Lead is the first point of contact for the performance of the work and matters relating to the daily operations designated by the contract.  As Program Lead your efforts will directly support our Nations missile defense system communications that are employed on behalf of our client and USG.

 

What you’ll do:

The MDA Program Lead will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Reporting to Program Management at VSFB, as well as other contractor personnel who support contract activities.
  • Subject Matter Expert on aspects of MDA system capabilities.
  • Program Planning and Coordinating team schedules
  • Evaluating resources to meet and recommend immediate solutions to requirement changes.
  • Working with Chief Engineer to Provide and Review Engineering Designs
  • Developing Cost Estimates (ROMS), Bill of Materials BOMS, Basis of Estimates (BOE’s), and Request for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Coordinating system test plans and management of documentation
  • Attending and supporting meetings requested by the Government.
  • Addressing emergency or delegating issues within 60 minutes during normal work hours, (2 hours during off hours)
  • Monitoring the health, safety, and well-being of your team and the site to ensure OSHA compliant work environment.
  • Support the Program Manager in achieving Peraton Annual Operating Plan (AOP) goals.
  • Support the Program Manager to ensure compliance with PWS/Task Order requirements associated with deliverables, and performance standards.
  • Support the Program Manager to ensure a collaborative relationship is maintained with our government customer.
  • Be accountable for the performance and results of your team.
  • Proactively support Program Additional duty responsibilities, as needed
  • Proactively ensure the completion of Peraton, Site, and/or Government directed training and tasks within the specified timelines.
  • Support Peraton growth opportunities; Request for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Subject Matter Expert (SME) data calls.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ plus years of relevant management experience
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Working knowledge of Engineering Drawings and Standards
  • Expertise in with compliance to building and electrical industry standards
  • Strong and Proven Communication skills

Desired qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree. 
  • Strong skills using engineering drawing tools and standards.
  • Knowledge of IP Camera Surveillance Systems, Access and Entry Control devices, Voice over IP systems, Telemetry Systems, Facility modifications to include power, cabling, and building modifications, and analog communications system technologies
  • Experience with Launch Range and Test System (LTRS), and MDA Test Programs
  • Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering Principles (INCOSE Certified)
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
