About you

The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for the design/implementation of new software applications, maintenance and enhancement of various software products / solutions of Origence. They assist in successful execution of projects with minimal direction and guidance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Spend 90% of your time actively designing and coding in support of the immediate team. 10% of your time will be spent researching new technology, coaching, and mentoring other engineers.
  • As a senior team member of developers, providing feedback and training where necessary, and ensure that technical initiatives align with organizational goals working closely with Principal Engineers / Development Managers.
  • As a Full Stack Engineer assigned to the product/project ensure performance, maintainability, and functional requirements from design, development, testing to rollout and support
  • Work with cross-engineering staff, collaborating on hardware and system monitoring requirements to ensure expected performance and reliability of the application / system developed.
  • Proactively communicate and work to mitigate changes to project timelines, degradation in performance of applications, troubleshooting / problem solving production issues.
  • Drive AI augmentation within the team: evaluate, design, and integrate agentic patterns to improve developer productivity (e.g., code scaffolding, test generation, documentation synthesis) with human-in-the-loop review.
  • Establish and maintain prompt engineering practices (versioned prompts, style guides, safety and grounding patterns), including reusable prompt templates for coding, testing, docs, and support workflows.
  • Design and implement agentic workflows (planning, tool use, multi-step reasoning) that leverage internal services/APIs, with clear guardrails, observability, and fallback behavior.
  • Instrument AI features with telemetry, evaluation, and quality metrics (latency, cost, accuracy, safety events) and iterate based on data.
