CNA Certified Nursing Assistant Psych

The Nursing Assistant performs and assumes responsibility for nonprofessional Nursing duties in the direct care of patients within a designated time frame under the direct supervision of an RN in accordance with established Henry County Medical Center policies. The ages of the patients normally served are neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Exceptions include no neonates in surgery and no neonates, pediatric or adolescent patients in psychiatry.

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications:  Current Certified Nursing Assistant License with the State of Tennessee is required.

Physical Demands:
Lifting at least 35 pounds at any one time. When situation requires lifting more than 35 pounds, additional staff, a slide sheet, gait belt, or mechanical lift is required*
