About the role

Position Summary

Plan and execute community building and traditional events for Tandon students throughout the years. Manage a budget annually for activities for the Office of Student Life and Services, (SLS) including Orientation & Commencement. Oversee the daily operation and management of the Office of Student Life and Services, (SLS) including communications in consult with the Associate Dean on internal and external administrative and policy matters. Complies data, statistics, and other information and materials for meetings, lectures, etc. The Administrative Manager provides a wide range of administrative and operational support to the office of Student Life & Services on sensitive/complex matters.  Directly supervises full-time employees and student workers.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in a related areaPreferred Education:Master's Degree in a related areaRequired Experience:3+ years professional experience in the academic setting and/or administrative support role. Operations, budget and supervision experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:3+ years Preference is given to those with prior experience working with a STEM population and/or providing support to a senior executive. Experience in event management is also an asset.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Demonstrated skills in spreadsheet applications, written and verbal communication, working with students, attention to detail, and strong commitment and sensitivity to belonging and inclusion.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Calendars, and MS Word, and Excel.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $74,700.00 to USD $91,300.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
