We are looking for a Data & AI Strategist (m/f/d), based in Munich.

The Impact You Will Have

As the Data & AI Strategist in the Global Data Office, you play a crucial role in creating and maintaining our data strategy and working on impactful projects in the data and AI space. You will support the Chief Data Officer and Head of Advanced Analytics in developing, aligning, and executing the Data & AI Strategy. This requires you to have a comprehensive understanding of all our data domains and their contributions to the insurance value chain.

 

Additionally, you need to be proficient in novel AI methods, including GenAI and LLMs, to ensure our strategy reflects, integrates, and anticipates these developments. You will be integrated into all other teams within the Global Commercial Data Office and act as a key liaison for de-central data teams within Allianz Commercial.

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Develop and maintain the data strategy for AZ Commercial in alignment with the Chief Data Officer of Allianz Commercial and team leads and prepare, align, and execute regular controls on strategy implementation.
• Contribute to high-profile projects in the Data and AI space of AZ Commercial through analysis, model building and deploying and project steering.
• Utilize a state-of-the-art tool stack and collaborate with agile teams to drive business impact from underwriting to claims management, with a focus on GenAI & LLM techniques.
• Research and compile information to prepare decision materials for stakeholders on data platforms, GenAI, AI regulation, AI ethics, model assessment, and related topics.
• Frequently exchange with de-central teams within AZ Commercial and Allianz Group to address requirements, needs, and developments in the data & AI area.
• Create a proper liaison model and proactively shape communication and collaboration around data & AI topics.

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Skilled in project management, stakeholder communication, and data/AI strategy.
• Experienced with cloud services for data science and machine learning.
• Knowledgeable in GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Understanding of the insurance industry.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage various functions (Finance, Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Market Management).
• Adept at relationship management, consulting, and problem-solving within complex, regulatory, and diverse business environments, including agile methodologies.
