Internship Overview:

We are seeking a talented and versatile Multimedia intern to join our innovation team to help tell our stories and share new technologies with the Duke Energy Family! The ideal candidate is a dynamic storyteller with the ability to produce high-quality video content, podcasts, and photography. You should be highly skilled in all aspects of multimedia production, from concept development to post-production, and proficient in Final Cut Pro. This role requires a creative thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver compelling content that aligns with our brand’s vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production:

  • Develop, shoot, and edit video content for a variety of platforms, including social media, websites, and internal communications.

  • Collaborate with the creative team to create storyboards, shot lists, and scripts.

  • Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment during shoots.

  • Edit videos using Final Cut Pro, ensuring high production quality and consistency with brand guidelines.

Podcast Production:

  • Produce, record, and edit podcasts, including setting up equipment, conducting interviews, and managing post-production.

  • Mix and master audio for clarity and quality.

  • Create engaging podcast episodes that attract and retain listeners.

Photography:

  • Capture high-quality photographs for various purposes, including marketing campaigns, events, and product shots.

  • Edit and retouch photos to meet branding and aesthetic standards.

  • Organize and maintain a digital asset library.

Content Strategy & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, social media, and content teams to develop multimedia content strategies that support overall marketing objectives.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure multimedia content aligns with overall company messaging and goals.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and technologies into your work.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple multimedia projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep projects on track and manage expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Communications, Multimedia Production, Film or related degree program

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75

  • Only previous Duke Energy Intern/Co-op experience may be considered.

  • Must not graduate prior to August 2026

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Proven experience
