What You’ll Work On:
- Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Guide, coach, and direct a team providing direct service and support to Abbott's Diagnostics Division (ADD) customers.
- Promote ADD products and image by delivering superior service and support.
- Qualified candidates must live in Arkansas, Kentucky or Tennessee area.
- Must be able to travel up towards 50%.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality system's effectiveness.
- Apply knowledge of diagnostic systems and products to support customer environments.
- Utilize ADD documentation and information processes to maintain accurate records and data.
- Operate within financial budget constraints and support budget development with data.
- Provide technical direction and ensure staff are trained in advanced technology.
- Stay informed on industry trends to recommend operational improvements.
- Maintain awareness of customer issues and emerging trends.
- Implement processes and procedures to support business objectives.
- Prepare reports, track product complaints and reliability, and recommend service improvements.
- Serve as a role model, coach, and mentor to staff, enhancing their professional development.
- Conduct performance reviews and assist with development planning.
- Build and motivate an effective team, assess team performance, and make staffing decisions.
- Administer reward and recognition programs.
- Interact frequently with customers, field service/support personnel, and local sales staff.
- Maintain a positive working environment with open communication and problem resolution.
- Negotiate with customers to resolve service issues and improve relationships.
- Ensure adequate two-way communication with service, support, and sales districts.
- Analyze departmental issues using industry, technical, and product knowledge.
- Manage a team of 16.
Position Accountability / Scope:
- Operate within FDA and other regulatory constraints, ensuring no violations.
- Interview and select candidates to meet specific needs, ensuring timely and qualified hires.
- Provide input to department budgeting and planning.
- Identify projects and resource requirements to assist in financial planning.
- Achieve financial plan objectives.
