By providing information, analysis and recommendations to improve results and drive decisions, teams ensure the company can navigate all types of market conditions while protecting our fortress balance sheet.
As an analyst within our JPMSE Payments Business Management Team, you will be supporting the Payments Business stakeholders and Payments Business Management Team for EEA & Switzerland branches.
Job responsibilities
- Support Payments BM team in terms of strategy, controls, people and financial performance
- Be a point of contact to the Payments front office and support functions to help achieve business objectives and opportunities
- Provide strategic analyses and reporting to facilitate business progression
- Build effective relationships and work closely with F&BM colleagues (Planning & Analysis, Controllers, Industry/Product business managers, Office Management)
- Support senior team members on completing monthly performance reporting and forecasting process, including revenue, balances, volumes, spreads and expense trends
- Support annual planning process and monthly performance tracking against plan
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc business performance presentations / reviews
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Fluent English language skills, German at least conversational
- Understanding of Payments products, systems and processes
- A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls
- Strong analytical and numeric skills, excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills; flexibility, ability to prioritise requests and multi-task in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills; team player
- Ability to work well individually and partner effectively within a team
- Proactive and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
- Disciplined approach to processes and controls with a view to continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Education to degree standard (or equivalent) in an Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline is preferred
