If so, an exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate to join a dynamic 10-member environmental health team passionately engaged in a variety of cutting-edge environmental health initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work in Three of the ten regulatory programs that includes Biomedical Waste, Food, Indoor Air Quality, Swimming pools, mobile home parks and Ocean Sampling. The position also offers an incredible learning/mentoring opportunity for those desiring a career in the environmental health sciences.
Reporting to the Facilities Program Consultant, environmental health threats are mitigated through conducting inspections and risk assessments in a variety of facilities. The ideal candidate would be someone passionate about environmental health causes and a desire to develop their scientific, regulatory, and public relations professional skills. The position is based in Daytona Beach, Florida. Most of your daily time will be spent out in the community interacting with the public and inspecting facilities. Each day will also involve some office time for report writing, answering calls and processing inspection-related documents. This is a part time seasonal position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Software programs used by FDOH for environmental health inspections, data collection and analysis
Knowledge of Chapter 381 Florida Statutes, associated regulations and Policy 150-4 procedures
Knowledge of the policies and procedures for the Public Pools and Facilities Programs within Environmental Health
Qualifications:
Minimum -
Must have knowledge of Software programs used by FDOH for environmental health inspections, data collection and analysis
Must have knowledge of Chapter 381 Florida Statutes, associated regulations and Policy 150-4 procedures
Must have knowledge of the policies and procedures for the Public Pools and Facilities Programs within Environmental Health
Must be able to work in extreme heat, humidity and other inclement weather elements
Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a Public Health, Environmental Health, Natural or Physic
