Overview
Summary/Objective
The Customer Advocate - Credit Reporting is responsible for monitoring the accuracy of ACA’s credit bureau reporting and credit bureau dispute processes as outlined in ACA’s Compliance Management System’s Credit Reporting Manual. The Customer Advocate does not involve direct interaction with customers. This role operates fully onsite in our Spartanburg, SC office.

- Perform account level reviews and root cause analysis
- Ensure information ACA furnishes to Credit Reporting Agencies is accurate:
- Identifies appropriately the consumer(s) to whom the information relates
- Reflects the terms of, and liability for, the consumer’s account(s)
- Reflects the consumer’s performance and other conduct with respect to the account(s)
- Provides information with integrity that is:
- Substantiated by ACA’s records at the time the information is furnished
- Furnished in a form and manner designed to minimize the likelihood that the information may be incorrectly reflected in a consumer report
- Investigates & responds to Credit Disputes through E-Oscar and other channels in a timely and accurate manor
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the auto finance or equivalent consumer finance industry
- Strong understanding of consumer credit report information
- Strong understanding of the auto loan lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to maintain composure and multitask in a fast paced environment
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Windows, SQL, Power Point and the Internet
- Must be a self-motivator while actively participating in a team environment
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. with some schedule variations as needed.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
