Manager, Optics Business Systems & Processes
VSP VisionAbout the role
Leverage industry best practices and solutions to support the process design of multiple business systems and processes with the operations team (e.g. edging, surfacing, AR, maintenance, and other lab management processes) and assist in directing the technical configuration of multiple manufacturing and operational technologies.
Provide direction to the business system team and process team around driving roadmap development, implementation strategy, and subsequent rollout, and tracking of benefit against the initial ROI calculations of process/technology changes.
Lead the planning, coordinating developing policies, and updating management on the status of issues and projects related to business systems and processes.
Lead development of standard business system and process maturation methodologies to ensure that streamlined operational practices and supporting technologies are developed in conjunction with the operations data team.
Lead large-scale, cross-functional business system and process improvement initiatives, and track the ROI against all business process and technology changes proposed.
Coordinate cross-functionally with the Senior Leadership team, operations team, the planning/alliance management/strategy enablement team, the product development/quality team, and the supply chain transformation team.
Work with the global technology services team to evaluate novel technologies to the organization for enrichment, streamlining, and optimizing business processes.
Work to ensure that the changes in business process have appropriate change management measures in place.
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
3+ years’ experience managing development and implementation of optical lab and lens product business systems and processes.
Ability to analyze business systems and processes and to both develop recommendations to improve efficiency and manage implementation.
Knowledge of critical business systems including the most used Lab Management Software Systems including DVI, Ocuco, and RX-Universe
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory standards for lab and product manufacturing operations including ANSI and FDA standards
Ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications
Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Moderate travel may be required.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
