Purpose
The Director, Analytics Engineering for Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Analytics is a strategic and technical leader responsible for building and scaling the GTB analytics ecosystem. This role overseas the design, development, and governance of the scalable analytics data model, analytical models and self-serve capabilities that empower GTB teams to make timely, trusted, and data-driven decisions across Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance, Liquidity, Channels and Operations. The Director partners closely with GTB Product, Sales, Operations, Technology, Finance and Enterprise Data Governance teams to ensure analytics solutions are resilient, compliant, and aligned to GTB growth strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Define and execute the GTB analytics engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with GTB business priorities while championing modern data practices that supportGTB’s need for timely insights, operational monitoring, and predictive analytics.
- Oversee the re-design and delivery of robust, scalable data pipelines across GTB’s complex product ecosystem (payments, cash management, trade, liquidity, channels) globally across North America, Europe and Latin America
- Partner with Technology to co-own the modernization effort of GTB’s data landscape, including cloud migration, data governance framework and practices like metadata management, automated data quality checks, and data observability.
- Collaborate with enterprise data office to embed strong data governance, lineage, and quality controls to maintain trusted, well-documented GTB data assets.
- Work closely with Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics teams within GTB Analytics to enable operational dashboards and advanced analytics like forecasting, Gen-AI integration.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Consistently ‘does the right thing’ to keep the Bank safe and fosters a culture where their team, colleagues, customers, and stakeholders can speak up / raise concerns, by listening and responding in a timely manner.
