Position summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet consistent standards within an automotive Tier 1 supplier environment. This role involves developing and implementing robust quality control processes, inspecting products at various stages, and documenting production issues to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Quality Control Systems: Create and enforce comprehensive quality control processes to ensure products meet required automotive industry standards.
• Monitor and Analyze Quality Performance: Regularly review and refine quality processes, systems, and competencies to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Inspect and Test Materials: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
• Coordinate Quality Control Program: Direct and coordinate the company's quality control program to maintain high standards and ensure continuous improvement.
• Supplier Quality Management: Lead supplier development strategy, including supplier validation audits and advanced product quality planning (APQP).
• Support New Product Launches: Ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards for new product launches.
• Manage Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving: Oversee the root cause analysis and corrective actions process for supplier quality issues, ensuring effective resolution and prevention of recurrence. Utilize problem-solving methodologies to address quality issues promptly and efficiently.
• Train and Manage Staff: Identify and implement training needs for the team to ensure understanding and adherence to quality processes and standards.
• Lead Through Influence: Foster a culture of quality by leading through influence, encouraging collaboration, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all levels of the organization.
• People Leadership: Demonstrate strong people leadership skills by mentoring, coaching, and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
• Prepare Reports: Collect, analyze, and summarize data to prepare detailed reports on quality performance, highlighting areas for process improvement.
