The EPICC Certified Peer Specialist plays a vital role in empowering individuals on their recovery journey by emphasizing the development of recovery skills. Key Responsibilities: 
• Collaborate with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans addressing their specific needs. 
Maintain communication with referral sources and guardians to discuss individual progress and relevant clinical matters. 
Participate in team meetings to ensure continuity of care for individuals. 
Assist individuals in accessing medical services and document all services in accordance with state and CARF standards. 
• Support clients in accessing recovery tools and community support services. 
Facilitate group education sessions and provide crisis intervention as scheduled. 
• Mentor individuals in identifying their strengths and accomplishing recovery goals. 
• Offer emotional and informational support, helping clients connect with recovery resources. 
• Advocate for clients to help them make independent choices in their treatment. 

 

 

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: 
• Must be willing to self-identify as a present or former client of mental health and/or substance use services OR self-identifies as a person in recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorder. 
• Requires one year
