About the Role:
Brightline brings virtual behavioral and mental health care to families, when and where they need it. You have the exciting opportunity to be a critical part in advancing the mission of a new partnership with Brightline and Children and Youth Behavioral Initiative (CYBHI). Established as part of the Budget Act of 2021, CYBHI is a $4.7B five-year package of investments that seeks to reimagine behavioral health care for California’s youth. The goal is to promote social and emotional well-being, prevent behavioral health challenges, and provide equitable, appropriate, timely, and accessible services for children and youth behavioral health needs for free. Brightline was selected from a group of 450+ vendors to provide the Behavioral Health Virtual Services Platform (BHVS) for children under 13 as one of the workstreams for CYBHI.
We are seeking experienced and passionate Community Engagement Leads to join our team at Brightline. The ideal candidate will be an expert in communication strategies, possess a deep understanding of the specific demographic they are working in, and be widely recognized as a dedicated advocate for child mental well-being.

Community Outreach and Engagement/Health Education/Health Promotion:
Initiate cold outreach via email, phone calls, and in-person meetings to establish connections with key stakeholders in schools, faith-based organizations, and community-based groups.
Leverage existing networks and research methods to identify contacts within the target county, utilizing platforms such as ZoomInfo, Google, LinkedIn, and district websites.
Build and nurture relationships with individuals and organizations to facilitate collaborations and promotions for the launch of HelloBrightline's services on January 1st.
Conduct in-depth research on potential partners to tailor outreach and engagement strategies, ensuring a high-touch and personalized approach.
Marketing and Partnership Strategy:
Develop comprehensive outreach and marketing strategies tailored to the specific demographics, cultures, and ethnicities of the target county.
Create a partnership strategy that fosters mutual referrals, positioning HelloBrightline as a valuable resource within the community.
Activation and Event Participation:
Attend, organize, and participate in various activation tactics such as events, school fairs, and community gatherings to promote HelloBrightline's offerings.
Provide informative materials and engaging discussions to educate parents about the importance of child mental well-being and the services offered by HelloBrightline.
Distribute branded swag and conduct webinars or in-person sessions to increase awareness and engagement.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Establish and track key metrics related to outreach, engagement, and conversion rates.
Regularly report progress, insights, and recommendations to manager, marketing team and upper management to inform decision-making and optimize strategies.
Collaborative Improvement:
Continuously gather insights from engagement efforts and incorporate feedback to quickly enhance outreach and marketing strategies.
Identify opportunities for new assets and content to address evolving needs, particularly in nurturing long-term relationships.
Why We Are Excited About You
Community engagement and or relevant work experience
A deep understanding of communication strategies and proven expertise in engaging specific demographics, cultures, and ethnicities.
Experience navigating public and community health and school-based systems to build programs and gain adoption within the community
Excited to be recognized as a respected advocate for child mental well-being within the community.
Experience in cold outreach, relationship building, and developing high-touch nurture campaigns.
Proficiency in utilizing online platforms and research methods to source contacts and gather relevant information.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and report on performance metrics and use data to inform decisions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable with public speaking and event participation.
Knowledge of pediatric mental health, public or community health, community needs and related services is a plus.
Proficiency in another language (ie Spanish) is a plus
Must be based in California and have reliable transportation
