Job Description
Remote (Colorado / Texas)
MGA Homecare is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance and Strategy team. The Finance and Strategy team supports the executive leadership who oversees all MGA Homecare operations throughout Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Washington currently with ~$300 million in revenue annually.
The Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Director (the lead finance leader for all field operations support) and will have substantial exposure to MGA Homecare executive leaders, VP of operations, and Directors across all management lanes (strategy, clinical, human resources, etc.). The role will be remote, but we do prefer candidates based in Texas or Colorado to ensure the ability to interact with field offices in those states.
The following is a brief overview of expected roles and responsibilities for this position:
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Execute, manage and develop monthly reports to track business outcomes across finance, strategic growth and operations, including (a) variance to budget, (b) variance to forecast, (c) year‐over‐year trends, etc.
- Design and deploy new analytical tools for budgeting and forecasting of key operating costs and metrics
- Proactively identify trends in business outcomes and support broader team of Managers and Directors to implement effective operational solutions
- Operations Analytics:
- Prepare detailed analyses of recent and expected performance and trends
- Identify, validate and launch innovative methods to enhance operational efficiency
- Strategic Growth:
- Assist with mergers & acquisitions (M&A) financial modeling, sourcing, due diligence, and collaborating with local operators on post-close integration
- Provide analytical and strategic support for service-line and corporate leaders (Therapy, Long-Term Care, Policy, Payor Relations, etc.) to drive top-line growth and support new market entry
- Conducting industry research and competitive intelligence for both corporate and field operations leaders to best inform MGA’s overall growth strategy
- Other financial, strategic, operational or ad hoc analytics as needed
- Expected to travel up to 15% of the time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; quantitative disciplines preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint) required; experience with SQL a plus Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Superior analytical abilities combined with a high tolerance for ambiguity
- Strong communication, judgment and decision-making skills
- Have empathy, consideration and respect for other teammates with the ability to work alongside individuals from diverse cultural, educational and professional backgrounds
- Self‐starter with commitment to learning and exceptional work ethic
