The Department of Economics and Business at the Colorado School of Mines (Mines) invites applications for a Professor of Practice faculty position with a focus on data analytics.The primary focus of this position will be to help develop and support the university’s education initiatives in economic and business analytics. A secondary focus of the position is to strengthen relationships with industry partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver course materials to undergraduate and graduate students, demonstrating teaching excellence of high-quality and impact.
- Strengthen department and university relationships with industry partners.
- Contribute both institutionally and professionally through active service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Mineral Economics or a closely related discipline.
- 15+ years of industry experience focused on data analytics.
- Experience with post-secondary teaching of data analytics and econometrics.
- Exhibited commitment to excellence in teaching and curriculum development at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Exhibited commitment to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education course development experience.
- Experience with professional education program development or administration.

$109,000 - $128,000
