Job Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and cookware while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role supports the overall efficiency of kitchen operations and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dish room, kitchen floors, garbage areas, and equipment storage.
• Dispose of trash, recycling, and food waste appropriately throughout shifts.
• Restock clean items in designated kitchen areas.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep or cleaning as directed.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
• Notify supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and stoop, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, and wet environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to safely operate dishwashing equipment and handle sharp or heavy kitchen tools.
