One of the key roles of the Division of Financial Management is to safeguard the financial resources entrusted to UNICEF for the survival, development, and protection of the world’s children by maintaining and improving financial and administrative systems and procedures to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and transparent utilization of these resources.
Under the supervision of the Budget Manager, the incumbent will provide transition technical and operational support to the implementation and stabilization of the eZPLAN budget planning system and support the coordination, review, and analysis of UNICEF's budget planning and review processes.

Minimum requirements
- Education: Secondary Education in Business Systems, Accounting, Finance and any other related fields.
A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace 3 years of related work experience. A Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) may replace an additional 2 years. - Work Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting, finance, accounting, or programme management.
- Experience supporting budget planning, budget review, and financial analysis.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or budget planning applications.
- Experience in system testing, business process improvement, or implementation support is highly desirable.
- Experience in UNICEF budget policy and procedures.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in budget analysis and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.
- Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and user guidance.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
Desirables
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).

- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
