Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.

 

Job Responsibilities as Shipping/Receiving Team leader:

 

• Support the Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to ensure proper scheduling and personnel coverage.
• Manage and assign clerks and support personnel based upon availability and demand.
• Proactively participates in the training and development process within the department and engages the Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving Supervisor when necessary.
• Effectively communicate across shifts and within the department.
• Uses released deliveries and transfer orders, working closely with the Materials Planning/ Scheduling Team to adjust priorities as needed.
• Fully understand, troubleshoot and communicate about material picking inhibitors, mitigating downtime and waste Measure and track department goals, understand if and why goals were not met.
• Monitor the delivery report to ensure daily requirements are met.
• Promote and maintain a high level of TE’s core company values (Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation).
• Incorporate TEOA lean practices as a proponent of continuous improvement.
• When not engaging in team leading responsibilities, perform as a material handler.
• Conduct root cause and employ corrective actions in response to customer complaints.
• Other responsibilities as identified by the Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.

What your background should look like:

 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of material handling/inventory experience.
• High level of troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Read, write, and communicate efficiently.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills and SAP background.
• Ability to multitask and change priorities quickly.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $32,800 – 49,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
