Metrea Management provides central services to 12 global business units via Operations, Solutions, Strategy, Legal, and Finance teams.

Position Summary 

This position will play a hands-on roll in the day-to-day transactional accounting for a Metrea Business Unit. The position will provide a meaning contribution to the accounting teams effort to produce timely, accurate, detailed accounting records in compliance with US GAAP. The role will work with other accounting professionals and operations personel to record accounting journal entries directly into Metrea’s ERP. Additionally, candidate will get exposure to both technical accounting matters and total company Consolidation. Candidates must have strong accounting skills, problem solving abilities, and an eagerness to learn. This position is required to maintain confidentiality on all sensitive information. 


Responsibilities:

  • Execute of the accounting and finance procedures of the company. 
  • Generate and input Company transactions into Company ERP.
  • Diligently perform self-review of entries prior to entry. 
  • Understand complex processes, including the company’s end-to-end revenue cycle. 
  • Express an eagerness and enthusiasm to learn and grow skill set in rapidly moving enterprise.
  • Timely assistance with the Company’s monthly close process. 
  • Analyze monthly results to ensure accuracy prior to submission. 
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations. 
  • Assist accounting team members to verify sub-ledgers tie to general ledger and aid in resolution of any differences identified.
  • Assist in the accounting for monthly intercompany transactions.
  • Duties require broad conceptual judgement, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues. 

Competency Statements

  • Knowledge of general accounting including skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory. 
  • Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written. 
  • Strong analytical and accounting Skills. 
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management. 
  • Commitment to company values.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance. Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time role of 30hours per week carried out during Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.
