Jacuzzi Group, a leading manufacturer of hot tubs, swim spas, baths, showers, saunas, and pool equipment, is seeking a passionate & data driven The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our global team and directly support our local plant. With their headquarters in California and operations all over the world, Jacuzzi Group has been providing innovative wellness solutions for over 65 years.

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for managing EH&S requirements, processes, and activities for Jacuzzi Group manufacturing facility located in Glendale, Arizona. The EH&S Manager will develop and implement training programs designed to improve and maintain satisfactory EH&S performance. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, review, and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions, Forms, and other EH&S-related documents and literature as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain records of incidents, recordable and non-recordable injuries, and “near miss” occurrences.
  • Perform incident investigations and develop well-executed root cause analyses to prevent recurrence
  • Leads and facilitates regular safety meetings; collaborates with supervisors and managers to execute necessary safety/health, emergency response, and risk prevention initiatives.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments
  • Maintain applicable certifications and licenses related to EH&S
  • Supervise the preparation, upkeep, and submission of mandatory reports and documents (such as OSHA Form 300, EPCRA reports, etc.) to the relevant regulatory authorities
  • Coordinate and schedule employee training modules and classes, making sure everyone has access to the necessary information. Keep site leadership personnel updated with regular reports on training completion.
  • Ensure location (including vehicles) have up-to-date Emergency Response plans and equipment
  • Assist in development of corporate EH&S procedures as requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or a related field required
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in an EH&S management position within a manufacturing environment
  • CEP, CSP or CIH/CAIH certification preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EH&S systems, processes, regulations (29 CFR 1910) and standards
  • Extensive knowledge of Workers’ Compensation rules, regulations, procedures, and processes
  • Must be able to prepare technical reports, company presentations and briefings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively train, coach and mentor a diverse array of employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong planning and organizational skills required
  • Capable of conducting comprehensive accident investigations and readily identify unsafe conditions, equipment, and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.
