ROLE OVERVIEW
The Product Marketing Manager plays a critical role in developing and executing marketing strategies for assigned product categories across all marketing channels, including print, digital, radio, ecommerce, signage, and more. This position maintains close partnerships with designated merchant partners in the ignition, fuel systems, emission, and rotating electrical categories. Together, they implement retail, professional, and digital ecommerce strategies by collaborating with marketing and ecommerce channel owners.
TECHNICAL MARKETING SUPPORT
This role also acts as a technical resource within the marketing organization. Responsibilities include creating product videos, reviewing SEO content, and assisting with team member training. The focus is on producing engaging, informative, and innovative product marketing assets that support and drive the sales strategy.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
The Product Marketing Manager must possess familiarity with automotive products, Advance Auto Parts stores, the Professional sales team, and customer base. Success in this role requires the ability to effectively prioritize projects, product categories, vendors, and occasionally competing agendas to achieve measurable marketing outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Partner with the merchandising team to align and communicate category strategies across DIY, Professional, and eCommerce channels, ensuring consistent messaging and measurable campaign performance.
Collaborate with marketing program managers to develop and implement multichannel marketing strategies and activations—including digital, print, radio, and social media—with all initiatives receiving final approval from merchant and vendor partners and tracked for reach and conversion metrics.
Optimize customer experience in all sales channels by increasing engagement rates through effective use of media, signage, communications, and digital methods, with improvements measured by customer satisfaction scores and engagement analytics.
Integrate competitive insights, customer analytics, and additional data into category strategies to enhance market positioning and drive measurable growth in category sales and share.
Coordinate with field teams to deliver accurate and impactful marketing materials, ensuring timely distribution and positive feedback from end users.
Support training and field teams by developing and facilitating automotive system and product training sessions, aiming to improve team product knowledge and customer service ratings.
Serve as a technical resource to the marketing team by providing subject matter expertise during photo and video shoots to ensure accurate representation of products and alignment with brand standards.
