This position supports The Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) program within the Space Operations Mission Directorate (SOMD) serves as the program office for all of NASA’s space communications and navigation capabilities. This position supports NASA HQ but is part of the NASA Glenn Research Center team in Cleveland, OH.
SCaN’s Strategic Communications team is responsible for managing the program’s internal and external communications and serves as the designated authority on SCaN’s communication strategies and messaging. This position supports NASA HQ but is part of the NASA Glenn Research Center team in Cleveland, OH.
Requirements
• Individual will support and participate in NASA meetings and activities. This includes potential assistance and participation in the planning and execution of NASA Sponsored events such as launch events, exhibits, conferences, and high level meetings.
• Responsible for researching and developing products for maximum impact and flexibility to be leveraged across multiple venues and platforms.
• Support the planning, designing, and execution of stakeholder events that support SCaN’s priorities, ensuring actionable outcomes that advance SCaN’s mission success.
• Coordinate logistics and manage resources for events and outreach activities.
• Duties may include directly interfacing with SCaN management and/or customers.
• Responsible for generating routine and/or ad-hoc reports for SCaN management.
• Administrative coordination of meetings and conferences, virtually and in person, including presentation of charts and taking and preparing minutes.
• Management of SCaN exhibit booths and presence for related conferences, in person and virtual.
• Maintain SCaN’s stakeholder and stakeholder engagement database.
• Maintain SCaN’s asset database. Support asset requests and checkout process.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree is required with 3-5 years of experience
• Previous experience at NASA or in the aerospace industry is greatly preferred.
• Strong computer skills are required.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail is critical.
