Position Overview
This is a skilled position as an experienced Estimator/Project Manager involving the preparation of quantity estimates using material, labor and overhead costs and management of projects that are awarded to the company.Will also be responsible for the marketing of products and services provided by the company in assigned territory and developing new markets, expanding current customer base via phone calls or in person visits and managing sales budgets within established sales goals.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Be able to bid and manage multiple jobs concurrently.
- Must have experience with estimating earthwork, demolition, and utility projects, including quantity take-off, pricing, crew production and scheduling.
- Visit project sites weekly to monitor progress, update schedules and review cost with Project Superintendent.
- Manage profit /loss of projects through weekly cost reviews.
- Management of awarded projects including but not limited to: see that all safety practices are followed throughout construction, create and update project schedules, create month billings, review of job cost costs, work with field personnel to build project, manage / price change orders and oversight of subcontractor and vendors.
- Work owners/customers to help ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Sell products to business and industrial establishments or individuals utilizing knowledge of the products sold.
- Increase sales volume for company’s products and services, while maintaining sales expense budget.
- Track product inventory to ensure adequate supply of product is available to meet customers’ needs.
- Compiles a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from a variety of sources.
- Develop and maintain profiles of customers and competitors.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure prompt payment of goods and services.

Coordinate product delivery if necessary.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Bid 2 Win, Trimble Business Center, Plan Swift and ViewPoint.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related field.
- Five+ years construction estimating experience is preferred; or an equivalent of education and experience will be accepted
Work Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. .
