As a Co-Responder, you will play a vital role in crisis intervention, helping individuals in need access essential behavioral health treatment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those experiencing crises while working closely with local law enforcement. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, empathetic, and skilled in crisis intervention.
In this role, you will respond to calls for service alongside the Springfield Police Department, providing immediate support and resources to individuals in crisis. Your expertise will help ensure that those in need receive the care and assistance they deserve, fostering a safer and healthier community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Springfield Police Department to provide crisis intervention and support in the community.
• Coordinate services and develop local systems of care for individuals with behavioral health needs.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and officer directives regarding scene security.
• Document and track all interventions according to agency standards and regulations.
• Assist law enforcement with Involuntary Detention procedures when appropriate.
• Provide training and consultation on behavioral health issues for Springfield Police Department.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health field of study.
• Preferred crisis intervention experience.
• Must be able to pass a background check as required by the Springfield Police Department.
