Summary

CHS has an exciting new opportunity within our Information Technology group. We are looking for an expert level IT Business Relationship Manager for Back and Middle Office (including Finance, HR, Legal and/or Compliance). As a strategic business partner, this leader is a key enabler to the Back and Middle Office strategy and the creation of business value and is accountable for end-to-end IT delivery and value realization. The Business Relationship Manager acts as a technology thought leader and ensures strategic and tactical alignment between the Back and Middle Office functions and IT. This leader will also bring ideas on how new technology can accelerate strategy execution and enhance return on investment.

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN Metro area in order to work a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office).

 

Responsibilities

  • As a valued strategic business partner, collaborate with Back and Middle Office leaders to support, promote and execute the Back and Middle Office functional strategies.
  • Lead Back and Middle Office in their digital journey to digitize key processes and drive automation.
  • Leverage business architecture principles to define, influence and maintain key business capabilities, enabled by technology.
  • Manage the process from business strategy to business capability to digital capabilities and technology strategies.
  • Translate business / functional requirements and technology enablement strategies into IT roadmaps, and long-term IT investment profiles.
  • Ensure functional demand and IT supply levels are balanced and manage ongoing discretionary budget demand.
  • Collaborate with IT and functional leaders in a matrixed organizational structure to provide innovative, quality IT solutions that drive business value.
  • Coordinate Back and Middle Office related efforts across the entire IT organization to ensure internal alignment, minimize duplication and efficiently advance Back and Middle Office technological efforts.
  • Be able to effectively articulate the Back and Middle Office strategy and priorities when engaging with IT colleagues and CHS functional partners.
  • Lead the strategic interface between IT and Back and Middle Offices to stimulate, surface, and shape functional demand and ensure that the potential value from those assets and capabilities are captured, realized, optimized, and recognized.
  • Act as the technology advisor and thought leader for the Back and Middle Office functions and be a champion for identifying and driving innovative IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Readiness and Organizational Change Management teams to coordinate IT transformation that drives business results.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, portfolio managers, product managers and enterprise architecture to develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps that drive business value.
  • Ensure the Back and Middle Offices optimize their technology investments and leverage them to advance business goals and strategy.
  • Measure, validate and communicate business value realized with functional leadership on a periodic basis.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the Back and Middle Office capabilities and build effective relationships, both horizontally and vertically.
  • Act as a liaison between the Back and Middle Office and IT; facilitate communication and understanding of the functional model with stakeholders; educate business partners about IT processes, roles, products, policies and capabilities.
  • Ensure Back and Middle Office’s unique needs are incorporated in IT standards and Enterprise solutions.
  • Ensure project, roadmap and initiative execution progress, including consistent and effective communication.
  • This includes managing escalation and managing risk.
  • Ensure key stakeholders are timely informed about program, project or initiative issues and risk, mitigation actions as well as major incidents.
  • Work closely with other IT BRM’s to support end-to-end Business Unit and Function strategy and solutions.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
