CMA (Part-time 6a-2:30p 6 days and EOW) The Gardens Assisted Living

The Gardens Assisted Living at Luther Park Community is seeking a part-time CMA for the 6am-2:30pm, 6 days and every other weekend shift.  

A Certified Medication Aide is an important member of the overall care team at the Gardens Assisted Living.  While working under the direction of a nurse, CMA's administer medications, help with daily activities and assist residents in a home-like environment.  CMA's also assist memory care residents by prompting, cueing, problem-solving and redirection.  The CMA charts in electronic health records (Point Click Care) and helps maintain the safety and security of residents.  CMA's also assist nursing personnel by providing routine CNA type duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of the 75-hour nursing assistant course
• Certified Medication Aide certificate or Iowa's assisted living medication manager course certificate required
• Valid registry through the Department of Inspection and Appeals
