SCHEDULE: 5 AM - 1 PM MONDAY - FRIDAY
PRIMARY FUNCTION
When you become a General Maintenance Tech for Orgill, you will become a part of our exceptional team. As one of the key steps in our mission to help our customers be successful, you will be working throughout the facility in our Tifton, GA Distribution Center! You will be working alongside our tenured team and be responsible for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical functions in conjunction with general maintenance of the facility . While you may not be working directly with the customers, without you, our customers cannot be successful.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment required for daily operation for the DC.
- Provide general maintenance for the facility.
- Clean up hazardous and chemical spills
- Outside/Yard clean-up and maintenance
- Work all necessary hours including call outs
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance.
- Review equipment / facility, making recommendations for changes and additions that will improve operations.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective, and cost conscious manner complying with all company policies, rules and regulations.
- Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must
- Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School education or equivalent.
- Two years experience in electrical, mechanical, and or welding.
- Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
- Attention to detail essential
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work
- Must be a team player with a can do attitude
- Power Equipment certification a plus
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English

- Must have the ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this position
