About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electronic Security Technician to join our team. The Electronic Security Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • System Testing: Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to verify functionality and identify any issues. Ensure all components are working correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns. Educate clients on system operation and best practices for security.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Complete necessary documentation, including work orders, service reports, and system configurations.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements during installation and maintenance activities. Ensure all work complies with industry standards and local codes.
  • Training: Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in electronic security systems. Participate in training sessions and workshops as required.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Ensure all necessary materials are available for installations and repairs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project completion. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for emergency service calls to address urgent issues with security systems. Provide timely and effective solutions to restore system functionality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in electronic security system installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
