GL Accountant

Join a leading aerospace company in Brussels, with over 100 years of experience designing, manufacturing and maintaining aircraft, space launcher and drone systems. </p><p>As a GL Accountant you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance and smooth financial operations within an international industrial environment.</p><p>Your responsibilities</p><ul><li>Manage general accounting from A to Z (journal entries, bank transactions, accruals, intercompany accounts)</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings</li><li>Prepare financial statements in accordance with BEGAAP</li><li>Manage VAT returns and support corporate income tax declarations</li><li>Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts</li><li>Manage fixed assets and depreciation</li><li>Support internal and external audits</li><li>Contribute to process improvements and internal controls</li></ul> <p>Your profile</p><ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent</li><li>At least 5 years of experience in general accounting and taxation</li><li>Strong knowledge of BEGAAP, VAT and corporate income tax</li><li>Experience with SAP or another ERP system and strong Excel skills</li><li>Fluent in French with a professional level of English; Dutch is a plus</li><li>Accurate, analytical, autonomous and reliable</li></ul>
