Job Description

The Director, Audience & Insights will be a leader in pioneering growth for brands through an audience-first, people-based marketing approach. You will bring a point of view across business dynamics, cultural + societal shifts, audience insights, media trends, creative influences, and tech innovations that inform media channel and partnership recommendations. You will play a critical role in our team's hybrid offering combining the best of Strategy, Research & Insights and Data Science into an integrated product that advances our brands' position as a best-in-class modern marketer that inspires to optimal business performance.

You will take a lead in the strategic planning process, developing relationships with Planning leads, nurturing an indispensability with clients, and maximizing collaboration potential with creative agencies and vendor partners alike. Equal parts art and science will be required for success, with verbal, written and visual communication command needing to be complemented with equal parts comfort in numbers, algorithms, and methodologies. You will identify solutions, partners and collaborations.

Playing an important leadership role on the team, you will also mentor team members – impartation of knowledge, debriefing for areas of improvement and identifying opportunities to stretch team members for growth. You will also be a role model for team culture in celebrating diversity & inclusion and contributing to an environment that team members want to work in.

This is remote position reporting to VP, Audience and Insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years' experience in strategy, research, and/or planning – Retail client experience a plus
  • Experience with leadership defined as exerting influence from a product, relationship, and process perspective in previous roles
  • Portfolio of past deliverables covering business intelligence, target engineering, consumer insights, media strategies, vendor ideation, thought leadership
  • Experience unlocking insights about specific cultural groups e.g., Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, Asian, LGBTQIA+ and Gen Z, etc. to grow business
  • Success in building 360-degree relationships – with partners, among peers and with mentees
  • Command of syndicated resources - MRI-Simmons, GWI, Numerator / Competitrack, YouGov, Nielsen Ad Intel, eMarketer, Mintel, Forrester, Social Listening tools (e.g. Brandwatch, Buzzsumo, Unmetric)

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $113,000 - $ 182,850. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
