What you will be doing:

Process owner for specific manufacturing process(es), to ensure that a capable process is appropriately integrated into the manufacturing method. Process delivers the design definition and all customer and business requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time (SQCD).

Act as the primary Manufacturing Engineering representative within the cross functional team for their owned process(es), working closely with manufacturing laboratory for optimization and validation of the process.

With this attractive role, you will have an opportunity to work on the following:

  • Strategy: Supports the development and execution of the strategy with respect to their assigned department. This individual is accountable to the method in which parts progress through the process. Adherence to process change management procedures via FAIRs, MVAs, and technical verification is a key accountability for this role.
  • Capability Development: Supports the development and application of new capabilities; leads capability development projects.
  • Problem Solving: Review deviated material to accurately disposition next steps based on component definition. Update Operator Instructions to mitigate obscurities or inaccuracies. Review measurement devices and results.
  • Collaboration: Work with Rolls-Royce HTC based engineering and operations teams to align on production readiness, transfer of knowledge, and troubleshooting support. Automation Lead – to coordinate on automation strategy, equipment design, implementation timelines, and integration into scaled production. Capability Acquisition Lead – to align on technical requirements, validate new equipment or processes, and support capital investment planning.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, OR
  • JD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering, OR
  • In lieu of a degree 4+ years of engineering experience
  • To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with the manufacture of Ceramic Matrix Composite Components or Aerospace Components with coating operations.
  • Experience with quality and validation requirements including PFMEA, MVA, FAIR, APQP, and PPAP. Knowledge of lean manufacturing best practices is strongly desirable.
