Job Description

Leading Activities in Trading, Portfolio Management, and Origination

You will coordinate trading activities by monitoring wholesale markets, conducting market analyses, and proposing hedging/trading strategies. Execution of trading deals will be within the Qcells risk management framework (VaR, volume limit, credit limits, etc.). Additionally, you will develop new trading-related business and energy services in close cooperation with sales colleagues.

Operating Qcells Virtual Power Plant (VPP)

You will manage, monitor, and optimize generation plants connected to the Qcells VPP. This includes creating trading and marketing strategies for Qcells' flexible assets and decentralized energy resources (DER). You will also develop strategic business models for Qcells customers, such as Direct Marketing, Flex Trading, green balancing pools, and full supply solutions, in close collaboration with sales teams.

You enable your team with transformational leadership

You will organize and develop the team, leading recruiting activities, supporting employee development, and managing the team's budget.

Stakeholder of the Hedging Committee

As a key stakeholder in the hedging committee, you will influence hedging strategies, ensure compliance with risk management policies, and collaborate with senior management to align hedging activities with overall business objectives.

Qualifications

• A completed university degree in a relevant field related to the energy sector
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team
• Strong project management experience, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong analytical thinking and numerical agility, capable of making data-driven decisions
• Profound knowledge of German energy market conditions, including key players and current trends
• Business fluency in both German and English, enabling effective communication across different teams and stakeholders
