NA Financial Ops Associate - Accounts Payable

Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role is responsible for all aspects of North America Accounts Payable. Success in this position requires a strong attention to detail, ownership of responsibilities, and the ability to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will be an effective collaborator who can also work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and maintain a strong orientation toward customer service and supplier management. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Key responsibilities include ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of assigned duties. This position will interact professionally and effectively with multiple business and operational groups across the organization.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Previous experience in a financial role
- Experience with Accounts Payable systems (e.g., Coupa, Oracle, PeopleSoft Financials)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and apply sound business judgment
- Dependable and accountable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and interact with various intercompany departments
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or related positions
- Strong work ethic, focused on accountability and follow-through
- Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality, with sensitivity around sensitive data
- Ability to identify and prioritize dependencies, work effort, and deadlines
- Advanced end-user computer skills, especially Excel (formulas, pivots) preferred
- Experience in a customer service environment, solving complex problems and diffusing customer anxiety
- Experience in process review and documentation
- Comfortable interacting with multiple levels of management and peers
- Projects self-confidence, enthusiasm, and initiative
