We are a busy Internal Medicine practice looking for a back office Medical Assistant extraordinaire to join our team! Clinical / Back Office Duties

• Greet and room patients in a warm and professional manner.

• Prepare patient for examination including taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, med reconciliation and performing ecg.

• Prepare for upcoming appointments by obtaining reports, imaging, and/or labs.

• Manage medical supplies, inventory, and stock exam rooms.

• Assist with minor procedures and setting up trays.

• Sterilize instruments and maintain lab equipment.

• Order labs, pend orders and prescriptions.

Clinical Support:

• Assist with answering phones and provide triage.

• Schedule patient appointments and respond to patient messages.

• Greet and check patients in and out.

• Handle insurance prescription prior authorizations.

• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Mandatory (Preferred?) qualifications:

• EPIC EMR (preferred)

• Medical terminology

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Great attitude and willingness to acquire new skills

Competitive Pay, Salary Based on Experience

Part-time position, Approx 24-32 hours a week
